Australia revokes Djokovic' visa again

Immigration minister Alex Hawke announced on Friday that the country will again revoke the serbian tennis stars' visa. This means he will likely not be able to play in the Australian Open, set to start next Monday.

Australian prime Minister Scott Morrison said earlier today that he welcome the decision, stating "Australians have sacrificed a lot in this pandemic, and they rightly expect the result of these sacrifices to be protected."

Hawke has used his right as immigration minister to declare the Djokovic's visa unvalid, stating "public interest".

There is still hope for the serbian though: He is still allowed to speak to immigration officials. Australian media reports that his personal lawyers are already in contact with the countries' immigration authorities. If the tennis player were to appeal the decision, he would likely have to file suit immediately, as time until the tournament starts on Monday is running out. It is unclear though, whether Djokovic will appeal.
